White Water Pinball Machine Overview

White Water puts players on a fast-moving rafting adventure where the objective is to navigate a series of hazards and advance down the river toward Wet Willie’s and ultimately the Vacation Jackpot.

The machine features the famous animated Bigfoot character, multiple named shots and ramps, an upper mini-playfield and a distinctive Whirlpool feature. The combination of fast shots and strategic objectives gives White Water considerable replay value.

The game supports up to four players and uses Williams’ WPC Fliptronics 2 platform with a dot-matrix display.

White Water Pinball Game Rules & Objectives

The primary objective is to progress your raft down the river by completing the game’s Hazard shots.

Each Hazard represents a different part of the rafting adventure. Completing the required hazards advances the player’s raft, with the requirements becoming progressively more challenging.

After completing the required raft progression, players can reach Wet Willie’s, setting up the opportunity to pursue the valuable Vacation Jackpot.

The machine also includes several additional objectives and modes.

Multiball

White Water’s main multiball is started by working toward the three-ball lock.

Players first light the lock by hitting the appropriate Lite and Lock targets and then shooting the ball into the No Way Out lock.

Locking three balls starts Multiball. The game also uses Insanity Falls as the Multiball jackpot shot.

Whirlpool

The Whirlpool feature provides several possible awards or modes.

Players activate the Whirlpool by completing the Insanity Falls shot. Once the Whirlpool is lit, successfully making the appropriate shot activates the award or mode indicated by the machine.

One of the game’s notable awards can activate 5X Playfield, creating opportunities for substantial scoring when combined with other scoring features.

Bigfoot Hotfoot

White Water includes two Hotfoot targets in the center of the playfield.

Completing the required Hotfoot targets can advance the player toward Bigfoot Hotfoot, a mode that provides opportunities to collect successive Bigfoot Jackpots.

The animated Bigfoot figure is one of the defining physical features of the machine and interacts with shots around the upper portion of the playfield.

Lost Mine & Gold Rush Multiball

The Lost Mine objective allows players to collect items required to start Gold Rush Multiball.

The three required items are:

  • Flashlight
  • Map
  • Key

Once all three items have been collected, completing the Lost Mine shot starts Gold Rush Multiball.
